Getting Lost

Posted: 2006/08/28 | Updated: 2010/05/21

One morning, I decided to go to the train station. I’ve got no map, so I checked the map on the Internet, and wrote down the names of the roads. Then I set off.

I walked down the Ashby Road, where I almost walk every day. After getting to the town center, suddenly I didn’t know which direction to go because I just couldn’t find out the road the map said. I saw “Churchgate” and remembered that it was in my note. All right, I’ll just take that way. I thought. I went through it, and still wasn’t sure the directions when I stood at the crossroad. I didn’t even understand what I wrote in my note!

But finally I found the right way and reached the station. To my surprise, it is a desolate area. I thought a station area was always the most bustling in a town or a city. Perhaps I was wrong.

Anyway, I took a couple of photos in the station and went out. Then something REALLY STUPID happened…..I walked on a road I thought I was walking on previously, but actually it was a totally strange road. I lost not only sense of directions but also memory! How stupid! I didn’t spot the truth until I walked a block…..
